Mount Meru is the fifth highest mountain in Africa, and it is located in Arusha National Park. This attraction is often overlooked due to its proximity to Mount Kilimanjaro; however this is a perfect and interesting hike for those individuals who want to avoid the crowds on Kilimanjaro. Mount Meru is a steep and challenging hike, but it has beautiful scenery and an abundance of wildlife. This is a good option if you have a limited amount of time, but still want to do a trek as it only takes three or four days.
